The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Kenya has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting key achievements in supporting migrants, refugees, host communities and government partners across the country despite a challenging year.

According to the report, IOM Kenya credited the dedication of its staff and strong collaboration with the Government of Kenya, donors, United Nations agencies, civil society organizations and local communities for delivering critical humanitarian and development assistance.

Among the major achievements, more than 150 migrants received support through the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme, while 72 border officials and cross-border traders benefited from capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening migration management.

The report also notes that over 17,000 people received emergency shelter and non-food item (NFI) assistance during humanitarian emergencies, while more than 10 analytical reports were produced through the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) to support evidence-based migration policies and planning.

In the health sector, IOM Kenya said its vaccination campaigns reached more than 125,000 people. The organization also facilitated the resettlement of over 2,000 refugees to destination countries.

IOM Kenya said the achievements demonstrate the impact of coordinated partnerships and reaffirm its commitment to promoting safe, orderly and humane migration while supporting vulnerable populations across Kenya.
