The Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) has issued a strong statement reaffirming its unwavering support for party leader H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, condemning what it describes as a sustained campaign of misinformation, propaganda and personal attacks aimed at undermining his leadership.
In a press release dated 30th July 2026 and signed by Secretary General Sen. Shakila Abdalla, the party said the attacks are politically motivated and intended to divert Kenyans’ attention from the country’s economic, social and governance challenges.
The party described Kalonzo as one of Kenya’s most distinguished statesmen, saying his decades in public service have been defined by integrity, patriotism, diplomacy and commitment to constitutionalism and democratic governance.
Wiper rejected claims that Kalonzo has “nothing to show” for his years in leadership, arguing that his contribution to national cohesion, constitutional reforms, conflict resolution and Kenya’s international standing is well documented. It maintained that he has consistently placed national interests above personal ambition.
The party also dismissed assertions that Kalonzo lacks the capacity to lead, insisting that true leadership is measured by character, wisdom, consistency, courage and the ability to unite people rather than political theatrics or personal attacks.
The statement further reaffirmed Kalonzo’s commitment as one of the principals of the United Alternative Government, saying he continues to work closely with fellow coalition leaders to build what the party described as a credible, inclusive and united alternative capable of offering Kenyans better governance founded on accountability, constitutionalism, economic justice and national unity.
Wiper urged its members and supporters not to be distracted by online misinformation and propaganda, expressing confidence that the movement remains united and focused on presenting an alternative leadership ahead of the next General Election.
The party concluded by calling on all political leaders and their supporters to uphold civility, respect democratic values and ensure political competition is driven by ideas, policies and service to the people rather than misinformation and personal attack
