MP Zaheer Jhanda Calls for Calm After Deadly Keumbu Market Chaos

Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Zahir Chanda has appealed for calm and restraint following the violent unrest at Keumbu Market that claimed one life and left several people shaken.

Addressing residents at the market, the MP expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and urged security agencies to conduct thorough investigations to establish the circumstances that led to the fatal incident. He said those responsible should be identified and brought to justice through the law.

Chanda called on residents to avoid retaliatory actions that could escalate tensions, stressing the need for peace and unity within the community. He noted that Keumbu has long been known for peaceful coexistence and urged locals to work together to restore normalcy.

The legislator also appealed to government agencies to strengthen security in the area and ensure that residents and traders can conduct their daily activities without fear.

His visit comes amid heightened concern following the deadly chaos, with local leaders calling for justice for the victim and measures to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
