Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has joined family members, friends and residents in paying tribute to the late Pastor Nyabuto Mochoge during his burial ceremony at Tindereti Settlement Scheme in Nyansiongo Ward, Borabu Constituency, Nyamira County.

Mochoge was remembered as a dedicated servant of God and a community leader whose life was marked by decades of service across different sectors.

Over a career spanning about four decades, the late pastor served in insurance, missionary work, academia, health administration, pastoral ministry and humanitarian initiatives. He also played a role in promoting interfaith engagement and community service.

A committed Seventh-day Adventist Christian, Mochoge was celebrated for his humility, strong faith and dedication to helping others.

In his message of condolence, Dr. Matiang’i expressed sympathy to Mochoge’s family and loved ones, particularly Mama Jane Moraa, the children, Mzee Josiah Ogati and Mama Pauline Nyangarisa.

Matiang’i prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the bereaved family as they come to terms with the loss of their loved one.

The burial brought together relatives, friends, church leaders and members of the wider community to celebrate Mochoge’s life and reflect on his contribution to society.
