Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i on Monday afternoon held talks with the Acting United States Ambassador to Kenya, Ms. Susan Burns, in a meeting focused on Kenya’s development and the aspirations of its people.

In a statement after the meeting, Dr. Matiang’i said the discussions covered a broad range of issues affecting the country’s growth and future, highlighting the importance of dialogue and international cooperation.

“This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Susan Burns, Acting U.S. Ambassador to Kenya. We held discussions on a wide range of issues concerning Kenya’s development and the aspirations of our people. I appreciate her valuable insights and the opportunity to exchange perspectives,” Matiang’i said.

Although specific details of the discussions were not disclosed Dr. Matiang’i, who has remained active in national affairs, has in recent months held engagements with various local and international stakeholders as conversations around Kenya’s future continue to gather momentum.
