Linda Mwananchi Rally

The Linda Mwananchi team, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, is set to tour Kisii and Nyamira counties on Friday, July 3, after postponing the visit from June 25.

The tour had initially been scheduled for June 25 but was deferred to allow leaders and supporters to take part in the nationwide commemoration of Gen Z protesters who lost their lives during the 2024 anti-Finance Bill demonstrations.

According to the programme released by the coalition, the leaders will begin the day with a meeting with women at Monarch in Mosocho at 10:00 a.m. The engagement will be followed by a mega rally in Kisii Town at 1:00 p.m.

The delegation will then make a public stopover in Keumbu at 3:00 p.m. before concluding the day’s activities with a public address in Keroka at 4:00 p.m.

The Kisii-Nyamira tour is part of the Linda Mwananchi team’s ongoing countrywide engagements aimed at popularising its agenda and mobilising support ahead of the 2027 General Election. The coalition has been holding meetings and public rallies across different regions while advocating for governance reforms, accountability and improved livelihoods for Kenyans.

Friday’s visit is expected to attract thousands of supporters from Kisii and Nyamira counties, with local leaders and residents expected to join the coalition’s top leadership during the various engagements.
