South African tourism exhibitors are showcasing a wide range of travel experiences, accommodation facilities, airlines and cultural attractions at the Magical Kenya Tourism Expo.
The exhibitors say they are targeting travellers looking to visit South Africa, with various tourism suppliers offering special deals on hotels, resorts and travel services.
“We are exhibiting and sharing a lot of things from yesterday until tomorrow. We have different suppliers and amazing offers,” one of the exhibitors said.
The South African delegation is also promoting accommodation facilities, including resorts and hotels in Durban, as well as airlines and other tourism-related companies.
South Africa is also using the expo to showcase its rich cultural heritage, including traditional Zulu attire and dances.
The exhibitors explained that Zulu traditional dances are performed during different occasions and ceremonies, including weddings, harvesting celebrations and other cultural events.
They noted that there are different dances for different occasions, although some traditional Zulu dances have become widely recognized because of their distinctive movements.
The delegation said South Africa remains a leading African tourism destination, offering visitors opportunities to experience wildlife, culture and diverse travel experiences.
While asked about animals unique to South Africa that cannot be found in Kenya, Uganda or other African countries, the exhibitors said South Africa’s strength lies in the richness and diversity of its wildlife rather than a single unique species.
They highlighted iconic African wildlife, including elephants, as well as experiences such as the wildebeest migration.
The exhibitors have invited Kenyan and other African travellers to consider South Africa for their next holiday.
“If you’re looking to travel to South Africa sometime soon, it’s an amazing destination for tourism. You’re all welcome to South Africa with us,” the delegation said.
