Kenya Airways has emerged as one of Africa’s leading aviation brands after taking home four major honours at the 2026 World Travel Awards.

The national carrier was named Africa’s Leading Airline 2026, reaffirming its position as a major player in the continent’s aviation industry.

Kenya Airways also secured the Africa’s Leading Airline, Economy Class 2026 title, while its flagship Pride Lounge in Nairobi was recognised as Africa’s Leading Airline Lounge 2026.

The airline’s inflight magazine, Msafiri, added a fourth award after being named Africa’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2026.

The awards were presented during the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony in Zanzibar, with the honours covering different aspects of the passenger experience.

The recognition spans Kenya Airways’ overall airline service, economy-class offering, airport lounge experience and inflight communication and entertainment.

Kenya Airways Acting Chief Executive Officer Capt. George Kamal welcomed the recognition, attributing the achievement to the commitment of the airline’s employees and the confidence of its customers and industry partners.

He said the awards were an important endorsement of the airline’s efforts to improve the travel experience while thanking travellers and travel professionals for their support.

The four awards further enhance Kenya Airways’ profile as the country’s flagship carrier and strengthen its standing in the competitive African aviation market.
