Matiang’i Joins Worshippers for Sunday Service in Kiambu

Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i on Sunday joined worshippers at The Glory of God St. John’s Church, Kanjai, in Githunguri, Kiambu County, for a Sunday worship service.

Matiang’i was accompanied by Nyamira Senator Hon. Okong’o Omogeni and Nge’nda Ward MCA Hon. Joe Kigara.

The former CS was warmly received by the Area Dean, Rev. Livingstone Kiarie, as he joined the congregation for worship and fellowship.

Matiang’i expressed gratitude to the church leadership and faithful for the prayers, fellowship and warm welcome accorded to him during the service.

He also conveyed his best wishes and prayed for God’s blessings upon the people of Kiambu County and the nation of Kenya.

The visit comes as political leaders continue to engage with communities and religious institutions across the country ahead of the 2027 General Election.
