Dr. Fred Matiang’i is in Narok today, Friday, August 14, 2026, as he continues his Jubilee Party grassroots mobilisation tour across the South Rift.

Matiang’i’s programme included an engagement at Ololunga in Narok County at noon, followed by a stop in Narok North at 1pm. The tour follows earlier engagements in Bomet Town and Mulot.

During his Ololunga address, Matiang’i called on Kenyans to reject ethnic and political divisions ahead of the 2027 General Election, urging leaders to prioritise national unity, peace, security and economic activity.

The Narok visit comes as Matiang’i, who is Jubilee Party’s Deputy Party Leader and a presidential hopeful, steps up his nationwide political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections. The tour is being conducted under the “Mbele Pamoja” banner.

Notably, his arrival in Bomet earlier in the day was met by a tense reception, with some supporters of President William Ruto heckling him and forcing him to cut short his address before proceeding with his tour.
