People’s Renaissance Movement (PM) Party has unveiled its “Big Five Agenda,” a new political and governance framework that it says will guide its vision for Kenya ahead of the 2027 General Election. In a presser with Journalists on Thursday, the party described the agenda as a “new national covenant” focused on delivering practical solutions to the country’s pressing challenges rather than merely identifying problems.

Led by the Party Leader and Saboti member of Parliament Hon. Caleb Amisi and other leaders from different organs of the party, Amisi has said that its a new beginning as the party is preparing itself structurally and and begin the countrywide publicity and asking members to join it.

The unveiling comes ahead of the party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC), scheduled for August 11, 2026, exactly one year before the next General Election.

The PM Party said the agenda is inspired by Kenya’s internationally renowned Big Five wildlife and assigns each animal to a key national priority.

The Leopard symbolizes jobs, enterprise and the digital economy, with the party pledging to tackle youth unemployment by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-driven economic growth. It says young people should be empowered to create businesses and industries instead of relying solely on formal employment.

The Elephant represents the party’s commitment to a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, arguing that public funds lost through graft deprive citizens of essential services such as healthcare, education and employment opportunities.

The Lion stands for constitutionalism and the rule of law. The party expressed concern over reports of enforced disappearances, alleged abductions, excessive use of force and deaths involving young people in police operations, calling for justice, accountability and respect for human rights.

Under the Rhino pillar, the party promises fiscal discipline and prudent debt management, saying Kenya must reduce its reliance on borrowing, eliminate wasteful public spending and ensure borrowed funds deliver measurable benefits to citizens.

The fifth pillar, the Buffalo, focuses on national unity, with the party urging Kenyans to reject tribal politics and instead embrace leadership based on competence, integrity and service.

According to the party, the Big Five Agenda is not its complete election manifesto but serves as an outline of the reforms it intends to present ahead of the 2027 polls.

The PM Party called on Kenyans to view the upcoming election as a decision on the country’s future, urging voters to choose what it described as a path of integrity, unity and practical solutions.
