ICS Technical College Launches Free Russian Language Programme

Students at ICS Technical College can now learn Russian free of charge following the launch of a new language programme in partnership with the Path to Russia Foundation and Moscow Polytechnic University.

The three-month online course aims to equip students with language skills that will enhance their chances of securing international scholarships, further education and employment opportunities.

Speaking during the launch, College Registrar Reinhard Amunga said the initiative will give students a competitive advantage in the global job market by exposing them to an internationally recognized foreign language.

Path to Russia Foundation Regional Coordinator Erick Ochieng’ said successful participants will receive certificates from Moscow Polytechnic University, while outstanding students will have an opportunity to compete for partial and fully funded scholarships in Russia.

The Foundation is also planning a specialized programme for Information Technology students in collaboration with Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics.

The programme is currently free and is expected to admit up to 40 students in its first intake, with organisers saying more classes will be introduced if demand increases.
