Shabana FC Egyptian Coach Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi

KISII – FKF Premier League side Shabana FC have appointed Egyptian tactician Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The club confirmed Fathi’s appointment on Friday as it begins preparations for the new campaign, with the Kisii-based side targeting an improved league performance after last season.

Fathi joins the Glamour Boys with considerable coaching experience from across the African continent. He previously served as head coach of Ghana Premier League outfit Swedru All Blacks and has also worked in Egypt as an assistant coach and performance analyst at several clubs.

The CAF A Licence holder is expected to immediately take charge of the team’s pre-season preparations as Shabana seek to strengthen their squad and mount a stronger challenge in the FKF Premier League.

Club officials expressed confidence that Fathi’s technical expertise and experience will help steer the team to greater success in the upcoming campaign.

His appointment comes as Shabana continue to reinforce their technical bench in readiness for what is expected to be a competitive 2026/27 FKF Premier League season.

Backed by one of the country’s most passionate fan bases, the Glamour Boys will be hoping the new coach can guide the club to higher honours and cement its place among Kenya’s top football teams.
