Fuel prices in Nairobi

Two weeks after the government of Kenya hiked fuel prices in Kenya that led to three days of Matatu industry boycott of work the prices remain high in Nairobi where a Litre of Super Petrol goes for 214.25, Diesel goes for 232.86, Kerosene goes for 191.38. These prices follow an EPRA review that increased petrol prices significantly and later revised diesel prices downward by KSh 10.06 per litre after consultations with transport operators.
The governments side has insisted not to have control over the rise of fuel since its determined external factors including war in Iran. New EPRA review is expected on 14 June 2026, and government officials have indicated that diesel prices could be reduced further if global market conditions allow.
